The Criminal Justice program at Katharine Gibbs School
- Melville is designed to provide students with the education they need for entry-level positions in the law enforcement
and corrections fields. The program combines lecture and hands-on experience in criminology, the criminal
justice system, juvenile justice, civil law, and network security. Plus, we include a general education
component in our Criminal Justice degree program so that you can be confident you have received the quality education you deserve.
The curriculum includes:
- The law and court system
- Law enforcement methods
- Private, Homeland, and Network Security
- Corrections and parole techniques
- The juvenile justice system
After completion of this comprehensive AAS Degree in Criminal Justice program, students should be prepared for a rewarding career in Criminal Justice. Career opportunities available may include Police Officer (additional Police Academy training may be required), Security Officer, or Parole Officer.
